Breaking News:

A Minnesota court of appeals sides with White Earth Tribal member Todd Thompson, whose cannabis dispensary & home were raided by multiple law enforcement agencies in August of 2023.

State authorities convicted Thompson with criminal charges for operating a cannabis dispensary on reserve, but Thompson appealed the decision with a jurisdictional argument that the state lacked criminal authortity to enforce cannabis sales since the state legalized recreational cannabis sales, possession and use.

“I felt like I had the right to do what I did,” Thompson stated. “It is a medicine, and it's part of our treaty to be able to harvest and utilize it as a medicine.”

Thomson’s case has huge implications for Tribes considering cannabis in other PL280 states.

Did you experience flight delays in the last week?

Traveling from coast to coast allows for me to have some great exposure to the diversity of brands, production & supply chain as well as the collection of service providers doing high quality work with passion. During my Michigan travels I was blessed to tour processing hub. Quality edibles, flowers & a super clean production line… I can’t wait to go back!! if I were you and I was in Michigan, I would be stalking their dispensaries!!
