SHOP UPDATE!

The shop team has been hard at work on a curvaceous walnut kitchen.

Been a few mishaps getting the panels to cooperate but it’s turning out awesome! This kitchen is gonna be something else .

This is in no small part due to the talents of the wonderful team KALI BUCHANAN INTERIOR DESIGN.

Always trying to be better at what we do!

Here is little something one of our project managers picked up from the videos. Marking room locations and floor finish in each space .

Not only does this help the client understand what is happening , it references the floor plan and finish schedule in realtime for the other trades coming through from plumbers to finish carpenters and tile guys.

And it just looks cool!

OAC day at our Leawood modern remodel

It’s the time to gather all the key players in the project together to review job progress and details .

Here our Site Super, Mason is reviewing tile layout options for the team. When critical alignments are at play it’s important to heave everyone there to see how things will land , and be able to help craft the desired out come .

These meetings are a critical@part of our process that maintain communication and reinforce our commitment to collaboration and quality.

Our Courtyard residence redux project is in full swing ! This unique home is getting major overhaul complete with new kitchen , butler pantry, powder room and office as well as repositioning the stairs to the basement .

No Project is without its troubles and this one is no exception. The demo revealed multiple issues that will need to be addressed in order to create the new vision for the space designed by the talented team

It’s hard work to build the perfect box within the chaos that an older home can present. Flattening and re-leveling floors, plumbing walls, adding in missing structural components and repairing others. But the patient and thoughtful team is working through them one issue at a time.

I love the process of reimagine and breathing new life into these spaces .

Our courtyard residence redux is well underway!

Demo complete and framing is under way!

No project is without its troubles, and this is no exception . Demo revealed that this unique home, while gorgeous, was not build to the standard required of the new vision.

It’s hard work to fix the old structure and build a new space that’s as close to perfect as we can within the chaos.

Shaving down joists to flatten and re-level the floor , straightening and plumbing walls, adding missing or damaged structural members , the list goes on. But the patient and thoughtful team is working through it all with skill, one issue at a time. When it’s done we will have created the proper base from which to create the beautiful space the designers envisioned for our homeowners.

Can a Laundry room disappear?

Most Definitely!

Our in house cabinet shop brings the heat for this amazing built in Laundry cabinet .

When our client turned their existing laundry room into a mudroom they needed a new home for their laundry.
The solution presented by the talent team was to turn a hallway closet into a sleek built in cabinet to house this need .

Clad in riff white oak this space sports two elevated machines sitting in a hidden stainless drip pan , pull out hamper shelves , hamper storage ,
Humidity sensing exhaust fan, plenty of storage and let’s not forget giant pocketing doors for the win!

This thing is D-Lux!

Grand porch project is underway and making good progress.

Excavation, done!
Underground rough in, done!
Footings, done !
Slabs, done !

Moving on to the post and beam framing shortly so stay tuned !

This Porch will be something amazing when it’s done. It adjoins a blue stone paver patio with fire pit and corten water feature , a sitting area with TV and wood stove , infrared heaters, automatic screens, copper roof and a large dining area to seat 20 people- Bug Free! .
