Last week, our Chief Strategy Officer, Heather Agee, participated in the Associated General Contractors of America & HCSS 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹, where new national and state data was shared highlighting the dangers highway work zones present to both motorists and workers.

During the discussion, Heather emphasized that while we work in construction and traffic control, we are a service industry at our core — and 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. She reinforced that 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 and called for stronger action from the traveling public: 𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘻𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴.

The panel also highlighted the importance of taking a holistic approach to employee wellness, including the 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆. Through internal support like EAP resources and external support networks, IBC remains committed to supporting the overall well-being of our teams both on and off the jobsite.

Meet Milan Po***ck, an integral part of Team IBC who has spent years learning and growing within the organization. Working across a variety of roles, Milan has built firsthand experience across the business — and as that experience has grown, so has the responsibility entrusted to him. This month, we're proud to recognize his well-deserved promotion to Project Manager. It's a reflection of the time, effort, and commitment he's invested, and we're excited to see him continue to grow. Outside of work, you might find Milan on the golf course, at the range, or planning his next adventure — whitewater rafting and Japan are both on the list.

Meet Peyton Henderson, a Daily Rental Foreman who has been a steady and reliable part of the IBC Traffic team for the past five years. Peyton shows up ready to work every day and takes pride in doing the job the right way — dependable, detail-oriented, and someone the team can count on when it matters. In the fast-paced world of Daily Rentals, consistency is everything, and Peyton brings it every single day. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, hunting, fishing, and basketball.

Today, we’re celebrating 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘆, our Daily Rentals Project Manager, on his 10-year anniversary with IBC Traffic! 🎉

As the head of our Daily Rentals department, Chris plays a huge role in keeping operations running smoothly, supporting crews in the field, and making sure customers are taken care of day in and day out.

Known for his excellent memory, deep industry knowledge, and ability to build strong relationships with customers, Chris has become someone both our team and clients count on. Whether he’s managing moving pieces behind the scenes or helping solve problems in real time, he brings a steady, dependable presence to the job every day.

As a foreman, Joe plays a key role in leading crews, keeping projects moving, and setting the standard for quality on the jobsite.

Known for being reliable, easy-going, and a true role model on the team, he consistently brings a well-rounded skillset and outstanding craftsmanship to every project he’s part of.

A couple weeks ago, members of our operations team had the chance to step away from the normal routine and spend some time with our trusted partners, Virtus, at Rush Funplex.

From bowling and great conversations to a little go-kart competition, it was a fun reminder of how valuable these relationships are beyond just business.

We appreciate Karra McGreevy and the Virtus team for putting together such a great afternoon and for helping IBC continue to build and move KC every day!

Earlier this month, we were honored to attend the 2026 𝗚𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗻 supporting the American Heart Association ❤️

This cause is especially near and dear to our hearts, and we were proud to stand alongside so many advocates working to raise awareness around heart disease and stroke prevention for women.

As a 2026 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, our CSO, Heather Agee, with the support of IBC, proudly championed the American Heart Association’s mission to advance women’s heart health through research, education, and advocacy.

The Go Red for Women movement continues to make an incredible impact — reminding us that when we work together, 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦.

About 80% of cardiovascular diseases may be preventable, and events like this help empower women to take charge of their health while helping fund lifesaving initiatives.

We loved looking back on memories from past years of attending this meaningful event and are grateful to continue supporting such an important mission year after year.
