Things got spooky and spicy at VCC this week 🌶️ 👻

From Beach Bums and Beanie Babies to the Mystery Gang and Terrifying SOPs, our team went all out for this year's Halloween Costume Contest. Congratulations to our HR & Safety Team for being voted best costume as the Mystery Gang!

The competition heated up with our annual Chili Cookoff, where Joe Beachner was voted our Chili Champion!

Good food, friendly competition, and a chance to have some fun together. Just a couple more reasons we love the team we've built at VCC.

Wishing everyone a spooky and safe Halloween🎃

This week, we're celebrating Trevor Standish and his 10-year anniversary with our team!

When reflecting on his time at Vazquez, Trevor shared:

"As I celebrate 10 yrs at Vazquez, I’m filled with gratitude for the incredible team around me. Not only have we achieved so much success together, but these colleagues are truly my friends. From ownership to the office team and my fellow pipefitters, your dedication and loyalty inspire me every day. Thank you all for being the reason for our success and an incredible blessing to me and my family!"

Trevor, thank you for a decade of hard work, dedication and being such an important part of our team. Here's to many more!

A great evening supporting an even greater cause!

On October 9th, we were proud to sponsor HOPE Uncorked at Arrowhead Stadium, benefiting Marian Hope and its mission to create opportunities for children and families in our community.

As event chairs, Joe and Adrianne Vazquez were grateful to be part of another memorable evening bringing people together to support an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of local children.

Thank you to Marian Hope, everyone who attended and all those who helped make this year's event possible. We're proud to continue supporting this cause year after year.

More capabilities. More work we can take on in-house.

Our mechanical, electrical and plumbing divisions have expanded what we can offer our clients, bringing skilled trades and hands-on experience together under one roof.

From installation to ongoing service and maintenance, our crews know the work and take pride in doing it right.

It's all part of how Vazquez continues to grow and take on more for the clients and facilities we serve.

A name built on experience. A reputation built on the work.

Since 2008, Vazquez has grown from a Kansas City specialty contractor into a trusted partner for commercial and federal construction, expanding our capabilities across general contracting, design-build and self-performed MEP.

A lot has changed over the years, but the name on our trucks still represents the same commitment to quality work, accountability and the relationships we've built along the way.

Skilled hands. Experience in the field.

Our self-performed MEP capabilities are backed by people who know their trades and take pride in the work they do.

From mechanical and electrical to plumbing, our crews bring the hands-on expertise needed to tackle complex work, solve problems and deliver quality results.

It's this kind of experience that continues to strengthen what we can offer our clients.

Vazquez Commercial Contracting started with a career change and a willingness to take a chance.

After starting his career as a CPA, our founder, Joe Vazquez, found his passion in construction and took the leap to start his own company in 2008, right in the middle of a challenging economy.

What began as a small specialty contractor in Kansas City has grown into a company with more than 3,000 completed projects, federal contracting experience and full mechanical, electrical and plumbing capabilities.

Nearly two decades later, we've reached another milestone with our new corporate headquarters in 2026.

A lot has changed since Joe first got started, but the commitment to doing good work, building strong relationships and creating opportunities for our team remains the same.

There’s a lot that goes into keeping a building like this working.

For the past three years, our team has had the opportunity to work throughout the Kansas City Convention Center, building a strong partnership along the way.
As our capabilities continue to grow with self-performed MEP, so does the work we can take on. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing bring another layer of expertise in-house and another way we can support the facilities our clients rely on every day.

More capabilities. One team that knows the work.
