Meet Brian Burke, a Senior Estimator in Colorado Springs. Brian has been with JR&CO for a long time, starting back when we opened our Colorado Springs office. He was the first person we hired on the production side of the Colorado team, starting as a superintendent before moving to service manager and filling whatever role the branch needed along the way.

Today, Brian not only builds estimates, but relationships in the community around him, whether that be general contractor relationships or business development opportunities. Brian's investment in Colorado has played a big role in making the branch what it is today. He is also a Navy veteran who served our country, and he brings that same leadership to JR&CO.

Around the office, Brian is known as the "Colorado dad." He's been around longer than just about anyone and always has advice or something to share.

Outside of work, Brian and his wife love to travel and spend time in the outdoors. He has two daughters, two dogs, and grandchildren he absolutely adores and spends as much time with as he can.

Thank you, Brian, for your service to our country and for all that you have done over the years for JR&CO and our team in Colorado.

A fresh roof for Journey Bible Church in Olathe, KS. The scope covered 47,000 sq. ft., starting with a full tear-off down to the wood decking and finishing with Malarkey Roofing Products Vista Class 4 impact resistant architectural shingles. We also lined the existing gutters with 60 mil EPDM, which gives them a seamless waterproof surface without a full gutter replacement, and reinstalled about 1,200 linear feet of the original coping.

Last week that was our very own Shawn Porter, a retired Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps who spent four years as a combat engineer, including a deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

JR&CO has been named No. 21 on Roofing Contractor's 2026 Top 100 list, coming in at No. 10 for companies that aren't owned by or tied to a private equity platform. After several years of growing around 30% annually, we're trending closer to 63% this year, which has made for a busy stretch and a good reason to look back at how we got here.

The answer is the people who decided to grow with us. A large share of our leadership came up through the crews, learning the work in the field long before they ran a department or an office or a team of their own, and watching those careers take shape has been the most rewarding part of the last few years. It's also the reason any of this matters to us, because every step the company takes forward creates more room for our people to grow and to take better care of their families, which is what we set out to do in the first place and what we're still building toward.

Our services have grown right alongside them. The architectural cladding department has taken on a range of new systems and expanded what we fabricate in house, our glass and glazing team has scaled up, and waterproofing joined the lineup most recently, each of them added because customers needed the work and because we already had people on our team who knew how to do it well. Roofing has been at the core of this company since day one and always will be, even as the scope of what we can deliver continues to widen.

Technology has been a major driver this year as well, sharpening our estimating, tightening communication between offices, and shortening the distance between the shop, the field, and the customer. That's a large part of how we've grown this quickly without loosening our standard, and it's what has allowed us to serve customers in more than 40 states while building out branches across Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, and Florida. That footprint is expanding faster than ever, with offices in Orlando and Denver opening within the past month and several more markets to follow before the end of the year.

The crowd brought plenty of energy, and our head-butting game stayed busy throughout the night. We enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by, spending time with fans and sharing more about our team.

We installed a 20,400 sq. ft. 80 mil PVC, Duro-Last roof with in-house fabricated fascia and drip edge on one of Las Vegas' first Aldi stores.

This job is a great example of how we work outside our home markets to deliver quality service nationwide to our customers.

Meet Aaron Haynes, our General Manager in Kansas City.

Aaron joined JR&CO this July with 25 years of leadership behind him. Five of those years in manufacturing and six in global supply chain and logistics, along with time in big box retail management. He also holds a BS in Business Administration from Penn State and has been able to apply much of his knowledge and experience to his role over the past month.

At home, Aaron and his wife Janelle have six kids: Natalie, Micah, Ezekiel, Obadiah, Nahum, and Solomon. He's involved and volunteers at his church, plays sports, enjoys the gym, and spends a lot of time hunting and fishing with the family.

When asking him what he enjoys most about JR&CO, his response was certain, the people.
We're grateful to have him on the team and look forward to all that Aaron will bring to the culture here at JR&CO.
