Whether you are trying to prep a surface for optimum acceptance of an adhesive or trying to make sure a surface is doesn’t allow adhesives to adhere, you are dealing with manipulating the “Surface Energy” of that surface (even if you don’t think of it as surface energy).

As hopeful as we were to have a good show at the LABELEXPO AMERICAS 2024 in Chicago last week, nothing prepared us for the great reactions we received from the 350+ Converters who asked to scan their badges at our booth!

Even though the majority of these Converters had never heard of us, the promise of stopping adhesive buildup was too tempting for them to keep walking by without knowing more.

We found the LABELEXPO AMERICAS 2024 Show well organized and worthwhile. Most of all, we appreciated the feedback (and love) we received for our products. Converters can now control their own NON-STICK destinies by applying our wipe-on, hydrophobic coatings that air-dry in 60-90 minutes.

It is no secret that Dyna-Tek’s hydrophobic clear coatings can provide a non-stick finish for previously painted, anodized and other surface finishes. When doing so, cleaning the existing surface is always recommended.

That said, solvent cleaners that work on raw metal substrates can be too aggressive on painted surfaces. So, always test the cleaner you are using on a small spot before assuming it won’t hurt the finish you are trying to PROTECT.
