Just a reminder to homeowners regarding the extreme cold and those of you who have whole house humidifiers... turn them off until Saturday! This will eliminate the potential frost on inside of your windows and in the attic. It's wonderful that your homes are soo efficient, but in this cold - they need just a little help!

Attention to all homeowners who have a whole house humidifier: as the temps plummet this coming week, please remember to turn off your humidifier! We have found that in extreme cold weather and indoor temps being drastically warmer, moisture can build up inside on windows. If this happens, please go check your humidifier first.

Also: if you do lose power, remember what Cody told you about your fireplaces having a battery back up - so you can at least camp out in living room and stay relatively warm!

Roads out west are already an issue- nothing more important than your safety! Stay HOME and warm!

GREAT NEWS! The Retreat at Green Hills has 3 new homes that have been added to the MLS that will be ready for new owners this Fall. New construction under $500k? YES, indeed! And these construction permits were pulled before Kansas City updated the efficiency codes, which means that they do not have the added costs that will be coming to new homes in the future.
