Custom engineered for the application — not just built from a drawing.

Andrews Fabrication designed and fabricated these portable VFD enclosures for large industrial motors used in oilfield applications. Starting with an existing enclosure, our team developed an improved design that addressed several customer concerns, including equipment access, sealing, finish quality, and transportation.

The new design features a NEMA 4 power-input junction box, dedicated mounting areas for customer equipment and large VFDs, custom fan-filter assemblies that allow filter service without opening the main enclosure, an exhaust hood with stainless steel mesh, and front-facing lifting eyes that allow the enclosure to be positioned for VFD installation.

The enclosure was also redesigned to better fit the customer’s transport vehicles — helping make movement to and from the field easier.

From engineering and design to fabrication and finishing, Andrews Fabrication builds custom enclosures around the real-world needs of the customer.
