A closer look at one of Snyder Environmental Services’ core trenchless capabilities: Horizontal Boring & Jacking.
Since 1979, Snyder Environmental Services has provided trenchless construction services throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, completing underground crossings in a wide variety of ground conditions.
Our experienced bore crews have successfully completed crossings ranging from 4" to 60" beneath highways, railroads, streams, wetlands, buildings, high-pressure gas mains, protected trees, and other structures - all while minimizing disruption to the surface above.
Snyder Environmental typically operates multiple bore crews, each equipped with the tools and specialized equipment needed to complete projects safely and efficiently. We also have Certified Welder credential holders on each of our bore crews and maintain an extensive fleet of company-owned boring, jacking, tunneling, and support equipment.
Our capabilities include:
• Conventional Horizontal Boring & Jacking through dirt and rock
• Steered Pilot Tube Boring using a Guided Boring Machine (GBM)
• Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) jacking
• Mechanized tunneling using a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM)
• Rock boring using Robbins SBU disc cutter heads
• Cement grouting of annular spaces between carrier pipes and casings
• Pneumatic ground piercing for small service lines
• Service line installation using the TT Technologies GrundoPit system
• Pipe Bursting
• Slip Lining
Our experienced crews understand the equipment, ground conditions, and challenges that come with underground construction. We take pride in the work we complete and, in our ability, to work through challenging conditions to deliver quality results on every project.
It’s another part of what makes Snyder Environmental Services a trusted partner for underground infrastructure projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
