Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to assist with various construction tasks on job sites. This role is essential to supporting crew members and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

* Assist with concrete work, demolition, grading, and underground utilities
* Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
* Operate basic hand and power tools
* Operate Heavy Equipment on occasion
* Maintain a clean and organized job site
* Follow safety procedures and company guidelines
* Work closely with crew members and supervisors
* Perform other general labor duties as assigned

Requirements

* Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
* Reliable transportation to job sites
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Ability to work in various weather conditions
* Construction experience preferred but not required

We’re very excited to be working with the City of Newton for another project!

A $230,000 water main replacement project will begin in downtown Newton next week, closing 1st Street North from North 5th Avenue West to West 8th Street North. A designated detour will be in place until the project

The past couple weeks we’ve been cutting out a detention pond for the City of Newton. This is our biggest project to date and I’m very proud that we were able to tackle this project! A lot of people have put in hours in this project and we are moving right along despite the weather and ground water. Stay tuned for more updates and completion pictures. Our team recently finished a concrete pour at the Kellogg historical society, where renovations are underway for a grand reopening of the barn over Memorial Day weekend.

First project of the year! This customer was experiencing soft mud holes in his driveway and needed a new good base. We excavated the soft soil that was in this driveway and installed 8 to 12 inches of 1.5” roadstone to help stabilize the area and make a new sub base for a future concrete driveway.
