Welcome to Bear Ridge!
Tucked between the mountains and the sea, Seward, Alaska is one of the state’s most iconic communities—drawing thousands each summer to its harbors, trails, and festivals. But while visitors continue to arrive, those hoping to live and work in Seward are finding few housing options available.
A 2023 report by the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) showed a growing shortage of available and affordable housing across the Kenai Peninsula, with Seward identified as a critical area of need. That’s why we’re proud to introduce Bear Ridge, a new 20-unit development located right off Nash Road and Johnson Drive.
Built by Peninsula Building & Design (PBD) and owned by Kenai Peninsula Seward Properties (KPSP), Bear Ridge is designed to offer high-quality, energy-efficient housing that meets the needs of Seward’s workforce and year-round residents. Each unit is a 16x24 home with a lofted layout, featuring 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, granite countertops, ICF foundations, and metal siding—all constructed with Alaskan conditions in mind.
Phase 1 is well underway. The first 10 units are framed, wrapped, roofed, and we’re currently completing rough-ins for electrical and plumbing. Insulation is already underway.
