Last week, members of Central High School and Kenbridge Construction joined forces with the carpentry students to kick off the Playhouse Partnership for its third year!

This hands-on partnership gives students the opportunity to put their skills to work, gain real-world experience, and learn from construction professionals along the way.

The class will be divided into teams and challenged to conceptualize, design, and build their own playhouses from the ground up. At the end of the year, the finished playhouses will be auctioned off to the public, with 100% of the proceeds going back into the carpentry program to help keep this valuable opportunity going for future students.

We will share updates and sneak peeks along the way, so start picking your favorite and get those bids ready for the end of the school year!

We can’t wait to see what the students create this year!

We recently completed the new Deep Creek Elementary School for Chesterfield County Public Schools. Designed by Moseley Inc. and built by Kenbridge Construction, this 112,055-square-foot facility provides a modern learning environment designed to support students, teachers, and the community for years to come.

Exciting News in Mecklenburg County!

Construction is officially underway on the new Mecklenburg County Public Safety Building in Boydton, VA! We are excited to partner with Mecklenburg County and Moseley on this landmark project.

Designed by Moseley, this new two-story, 49,586-square-foot LEED facility will serve as a modern hub for Mecklenburg's emergency services and public safety operations.

Yesterday, Chesterfield County Public Schools held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Deep Creek Elementary School! After the ceremony, students and families got their first look inside their new school.

Deep Creek Elementary is a two-story, 111,501-square-foot school built to accommodate up to 1,000 students from Pre-K through 5th grade. The building shares a prototype design with A.M. Davis Elementary, which our team completed in 2025.

Projects like this are very rewarding for us here at Kenbridge Construction. We’re grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the team to help deliver another great school for Chesterfield County!

Kenbridge Construction was honored to donate a new electronic scoreboard to the Lunenburg Girls Softball League in memory of our longtime employee Haynie Matthews.

Haynie was part of the Kenbridge Construction family for 33 years. He was known for his hard work, his dedication to the company, and the many years he spent coaching girls softball in our community.

The scoreboard was dedicated during the Opening Ceremonies of the Darlings State Tournament in Kenbridge. Haynie's daughters threw the ceremonial first pitch to begin the tournament.

We are proud to help carry on Haynie's legacy by supporting a league that meant so much to him. We hope this scoreboard serves the players, coaches, and families of Lunenburg Girls Softball for many years to come.

Thank you to the Lunenburg Girls' Softball for allowing us to be part of such a special day.

This past Saturday, several members of the Kenbridge Construction team and their families proudly participated in the Town of Kenbridge's July Jubilee celebration by taking part in the community parade!

The parade itself is organized each year by our very own Mary Dayton, and we're grateful for the time and dedication she puts into making this hometown tradition a success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a day of fun, fellowship, and hometown pride as we continue celebrating America's 250th birthday.
