Red Bison Services is thrilled to share that we’ve been recognized as #7 on the 2025 LSU100, celebrating the fastest-growing companies owned or led by LSU graduates. This marks our second time on this prestigious list, and we couldn’t be prouder to represent the Tiger community!

Friday’s ceremony was truly special. Congratulations to our owners, Rocky Ortego and Matthew Tanory, whose leadership and vision drive Red Bison’s success. We’re grateful for the dedication of our entire team and the trust of all our clients.

We’re soaring to new heights with our latest achievement - Red Bison Services, in partnership with our Joint Venture partner, has been awarded one of six coveted seats on a 5-year Multiple-Award Construction Contract (MACC) with the United States Air Force. This comprehensive contract will provide critical construction services across four strategic Air Force facilities:

• Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma
• Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma
• Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas
• Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Arkansas

Our team was honored to meet with Senator Bill Cassidy, ABC New Orleans/Bayou Chapter, and Pelican Chapter, Associated Builders and Contractors last week to discuss the vital role small businesses play in Louisiana's economic landscape. Matt and Rocky had the opportunity to share insights on our ongoing projects and how governmental and federal contracts contribute substantially to our state's economy.
As an 8(a) construction company recognized as #1 on LSU's Top 100 Growing Companies, Louisiana SBA Small Person of the Year 2025, and named the Louisiana APEX Accelerator "Government Contractor of the Year 2025," we work every day to demonstrate the positive impact small businesses can have on their communities and the broader economy. Our discussion with Senator Cassidy reinforced the importance of supporting small business growth and fostering strong partnerships between private enterprise and government initiatives.
We're grateful for leaders who understand and champion the value of small business contributions and look forward to continued collaboration in building Louisiana's future.

Congratulations to Red Bison Services, LLC and LA APEX on their Selection for a DoD APEX Accelerator Success Story Video!

We are proud to announce that Red Bison Services, LLC and the Louisiana APEX Accelerator have been selected for an upcoming APEX Accelerator Success Story Video, a recognition sponsored by the Department of Defense (DoD).

This exciting opportunity comes after Cindy Carrier, LA APEX Program Manager, submitted a compelling success story featuring Rocky Ortego, owner of Red Bison Services. Their story was selected from over 50 submissions representing 19 states—a true testament to their outstanding collaboration and achievements. The DoD is funding the video production, which is currently underway with participation from Rocky, Cindy, and DoD representatives.

Colleen Broussard-Perry, the assigned LA APEX Counselor for Red Bison Services, has played a key role in guiding the company’s growth in government contracting. Since its inception, Red Bison Services has evolved into a dynamic, multi-faceted company specializing in Construction, Facility Support, and Environmental Restoration.

Since partnering with the Louisiana APEX Accelerator in November 2023, Red Bison has received strategic support in areas such as:

- Business expansion planning
- Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification
- FAR Clause: Limitations on Subcontracting
- Service Contract Act compliance
- Mentor-Protégé Program participation
- NIST cybersecurity compliance, including score submission to SPRS

These efforts have helped Red Bison Services secure contracts with prominent agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, U.S. Department of Agriculture, NASA, Air National Guard, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Forest Service, and the Naval Construction Force (SEABEES).
