"Do I have to move out while my house is being elevated?"

It's one of the most common questions we hear.

The answer: only during the lifts. Homeowners need to be out for each lift, no matter the height, but once your home is set on its new foundation, you can move back in while we finish up.

We walk every homeowner through the process. Questions about elevating your home? Call, email, or message us!

Our name says elevation, but we level houses too! 🏠

Louisiana soil shifts, and houses settle with it. Watch for:

βœ… Sloping or bouncy floors
βœ… Sticking doors and windows
βœ… Cracks in walls or ceilings
βœ… Sagging piers under a raised home

Catch it early and it's usually a smaller fix. 25 years of foundation experience, and we'll tell you honestly what your home needs.

πŸŒ€ Racing the storm.

Here's a home we're elevating right now, just days before this storm reaches southeast Louisiana. Our crew has been out there making progress and getting the site secured before the weather rolls in.

Storms in the Gulf don't always give us much warning. One week it's quiet, and the next we're watching the radar and hoping the water stays out. Once a home is elevated, that worry about flood water coming inside gets a whole lot smaller.

If you've been thinking about elevating your home, give us a call, email or visit our website so we can help you get started!

Hurricane season isn't over yet. πŸŒ€

It's October, and a lot of us start breathing easier this time of year. But the season runs through November 30…..

If you've been thinking about protecting your home, now is the time to start, not after the next storm. Two things we help homeowners with every day:

**Home elevation:** raising your house above flood levels so water stays under it, not inside it.
**Fortified roofs:** a stronger roof system built to hold up against high winds.

We do them both!

The state just announced a new $20 million program to help homeowners in coastal Louisiana get fortified roofs, built to hold up against hurricane winds.

Protecting your home starts from the top down, and from the ground up. A fortified roof keeps the wind out. Elevation keeps the water out. Lucky for you, we do them both! If you've got questions about getting your home storm-ready, we're here to help.

Gov. Jeff Landry announces new $20M grant program for fortified roofs in coastal Louisiana https://www.nola.com/news/politics/louisiana-gov-jeff-landry-fortified-roof-federal-grant-program-hud/article_999bd890-6065-4605-99b6-03870f883955.html?utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook

β€œThe overall goal is to reduce the financial barriers for our families that are seeking to fortify their homes,” Landry said.

Approved for an elevation grant but told you'd have to pay part of the cost yourself? πŸ€”

You may not have to come up with it all out of pocket.

If you have flood insurance, your policy may include something called Increased Cost of Compliance (ICC) coverage. It can pay up to $30,000 toward bringing your home up to flood code, and that can go toward the portion you were told you'd owe (up to 25% of the project).

Most homeowners have never heard of it. Eligibility depends on your home's flood damage history, so call your flood insurance agent and ask about ICC before you turn anything down.

Confused? That's normal. Give us a call and we'll help you sort it out.
