Happy Earth Day. Let's take a moment to notice the nature that happens to be around you today. Nature is everywhere, no matter where you are. Appreciate it, cherish it, protect it.
It may well not be here in another 100 years if we aren't diligent. Do your small part to make sure the Earth stays habitable.

A view of TOTALITY during April's Total Solar Eclipse. Taken in the Mark Twain National Forest in Centerville, MO. Backstory of this photo is below.

My family and I drove 636 miles to Rolla, MO to see the eclipse. I was careful to look at map of path, and was sure that Rolla was in it.
The morning of the eclipse, we plan to see it from the parking lot of the hotel. I check the weather, and it says "Partial Solar Eclipse". I find that odd, so I look in to it, and we are 80 miles, 1.5 hours from the path of totality. Totality is at 1:57pm, which was in 1.5 hours.
We hurriedly pack our things, and made a B-line for the city of Salem, MO. All back roads, there was close to no traffic. WE MAKE IT!
We stop and set up the camera with about 5 minutes to spare. We experienced night in the middle of the day. So happy to have shared it with the people I love most.
