Last week, our line crew took part in HV 34kV training, practicing rubber glove and sleeve and hot stick techniques in our de-energized pole yard. Our team worked through high voltage rigging methods and demonstrated how to move energized conductors, replace insulators, and install switches using hot sticks and equipment.

This hands-on training reinforces the safety practices and procedures essential for performing live line work.

Our team attended ISC West in Las Vegas, where they got to view the latest product innovations and stay informed about emerging trends shaping the security industry.

It was also a valuable time for building new relationships and strengthening existing ones. We truly enjoyed connecting with the incredible partners we’re fortunate to collaborate with.

Our Employee Ownership Committee had a great experience at The ESOP Association’s PA/DE Chapter Spring Conference.

Our team spent the day connecting with fellow employee-owned companies, sharing ideas, and strengthening relationships within the ESOP community.

This year, we focused our breakout sessions on one central theme: culture - and how to enhance workplace engagement, foster a stronger sense of ownership, and create a workplace where employees feel valued.

Tim was one of two BAS engineers who recently collaborated with an 8th-grade STEM class to assist students with a project: creating carts and protective structures to keep an egg safe as it travels down an 11-foot ramp and crashes into a wall.

Our engineers answered questions, sparked ideas, and encouraged students as they explored how engineering principles and Newton’s laws of motion apply to real-world scenarios. The students will be building and testing over the next few weeks, and we’re egg-cited to see which designs have the best outcomes.
