On the road again :-)

On my way, this time to Texarkana TX to present my now 3 year old set of knives to be judged by the ABS so I can see about my JS status. A few years back my dues lapsed and so I’m having to present again. No biggie, just the red tape :-)

Here’s my set that will be shown for judging. Most are available if anyone is interested in one of them. I just have to keep one of the larger ones, it’s already sold. Wish me luck :-)

Well here starts the long drive South. I’ll be there Friday morning only but it’s a stop off point on my way back to Dead Oak Florida for a weekend. I’ll be filling up my trunk with who knows what to bring back with me. It’s gonna be a long drive, but a good opportunity to have some time with one of my kiddos that will be helping navigate the trip.

Today I finished up a little project with the press I’ve wanted to try to see if I could do it. Turns out I can :-)

This was forged from a 1 1/2” cube of 1018 mild.

10oz London pattern Anvil forged completely with the hydraulic press. Ground it to clean it up and face the top, but all entirely forged with the press. The main picture is of the new little Amvil on top of my 265 pound NIMBA.
