🍋 Introducing The Good Stand Project 🍋

Parents, teachers, and community leaders - do you know a young person who cares about making a difference?

Riley Construction is launching The Good Stand Project, an opportunity for youth to turn a simple lemonade stand into real community impact.

We’re building four custom lemonade stands and selecting young changemakers in our communities to run them while raising money for a nonprofit they care about. Riley will match what they raise up to $2,500 to help amplify their impact.

Who can apply? Youth ages 5–18, including individuals or school, church, or community groups with a cause they believe in.

One participant will be selected in each of these communities:

• Milwaukee Area
• Madison
• Kenosha/Racine
• Waukegan

If you know a young leader who wants to make a difference, we’d love to hear their story!

Apply by May 3 at midnight: rileycon.com/good-stand-application

For the fourth consecutive year, we partnered with Kenosha Unified School District to host the Building Careers Summer Camp.

This year, students from grades 7–9 got a first-hand look at the world of construction. Through hands-on activities in masonry, concrete, carpentry, tools, and drywall guided by our dedicated Riley Construction team, students explored career paths in the skilled trades in an encouraging, real-world environment.

This impactful initiative was featured on TMJ4 News, highlighting the power of early exposure to hands-on learning and how experiences like this can spark passion, build confidence, and open doors to new possibilities in the world of construction!

It’s not always about the big builds. Sometimes it’s a small repair, a quick refresh, or a maintenance project that keeps a campus running smoothly.

At Riley, we support corporate campuses with all types of work, from large-scale renovations to the day-to-day fixes that make a real difference for employees and visitors.

This week, our summer interns participated in a Mock Bid Day simulation for an industrial building project in Menomonee Falls. Divided into two competing teams, they reviewed architectural plans, submitted RFIs, analyzed subcontractor quotes, and prepared estimates before submitting their final bids at the deadline.

The exercise provided hands-on experience in the preconstruction process and demonstrated that preconstruction plays a crucial role in project success and offers valuable career opportunities for future construction professionals. Such an advantageous learning opportunity for our interns!
