‼️ Career Opportunity: Process Design Engineer
CELO USA is seeking a driven and hands-on Process Design Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role plays a critical part in developing robust cold heading processes, designing reliable tooling, and driving continuous improvement across our operations.
📌 We are looking for an engineer with strong technical curiosity and a passion for manufacturing who is eager to learn and master tooling design for cold heading. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with production, quality, tooling teams, and external suppliers to ensure efficient, stable, and competitive manufacturing processes.
📌 Key Responsibilities
Develop, design, and optimize tooling for cold heading processes to ensure accurate and efficient part production.
Define manufacturing processes for new parts, focusing on process stability, efficiency, and tooling cost reduction.
Review and improve existing tooling designs in collaboration with production and workshop teams.
Troubleshoot process and tooling issues, providing hands-on support to production.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including:
Reducing setup times
Improving machine performance
Optimizing feeding systems and vibrating bowls
Enhancing overall production efficiency
Evaluate feasibility of new parts, including tooling requirements and manufacturing approach
Negotiate with suppliers and manage sourcing and purchasing of tooling and technical components
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Sales, and Tooling teams
Promote standardized solutions aligned with CELO global standards
📌 Qualifications
🟡 Engineering degree preferred.
🟡 Interest in or experience with cold heading, tooling design, or manufacturing processes.
🟡 Strong willingness to learn and develop expertise in tooling design.
🟡 Hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
🟡 Experience in manufacturing process improvement is highly valued.
🟡 Ability to work closely with shop floor teams and equipment.
🟡 CAD knowledge is a plus.
🟡 Experience in supplier negotiation and technical purchasing is a plus

📋 What You’ll Do
🟡 Perform preventive maintenance on machinery (oil checks, lubrication, filter changes, cleaning)

🟡 Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including heading and rolling machines, heat treatment systems, transformers, and pipelines

🟡 Conduct daily inspections of air tanks, transformer stations, and fire protection systems

🟡 Operate oil reclamation systems to recycle and reuse oil

🟡 Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

🟡 Coordinate repairs and report equipment issues

🟡 Assist with equipment installations and hook-ups

🟡 Maintain clean, organized work areas aligned with 5S standards

🟡 Help reduce downtime through proactive maintenance

💡 What You Bring

📌 Ability to read gauges and interpret results accurately

📌 Strong mechanical understanding and troubleshooting skills

📌 Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

📌 Self-motivated and organized

📌 Forklift (Hilo) certification or willingness to obtain

Physical Requirements

Lift and carry 5-gallon oil containers regularly

Use tools such as wrenches and ratchets

Climb ladders up to 10 feet and work at heights up to 12 feet

Perform bending, twisting, gripping, and work in confined spaces
