SOAR Key West SOAR Key West 2011 is February 5th from 0900-1600 at the Key West Int'l Airport.

SOAR Key West is an annual, free to the public, aviation themed event held at the Key West International Airport in Florida. While it's not an airshow nor a fly-in, it does feature numerous aircraft static displays of all types, flight opportunities in a wide variety of aircraft, aviation exhibitors/vendors, and access to the terminal.

A ceremony was held to unveil the bronze bust of George J. Faraldo. George was a Key West native who learned to fly at 15, flew combat in WWII, and was manager of the Key West airport from 1947-1976.

We now have the largest aviation themed infaltable kid's zone in the US! Plus so many free raffle prizes that instead of drawing a name every 30 minutes, we will now draw a name every 15 minutes! Our prize list now includes two free coach class tickets on AirTran, Delta SkyMiles certificates, and more free boat rides on Sunny Days Catamarans.

At SOAR you can shop! We have numerous vendors offering various products and services from aircraft survival gear to temporary tattos and more. We also have numerous exhibitors offering information only including Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Seaplane Pilots Assocation, DTC Duats, Civil Air Patrol, National Weather Service and many more.

At SOAR you can dream! Check out the photos of the aircraft that will be on static display. Eveything from vintage warbirds to state of the art civil aircraft to modern military aircraft. You can walk through some, sit in the cockpit in others, and get your photo taken with the pilot at all of them.
