Responsibilities
Set up and operate various press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings
Read and interpret complex blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings to determine tooling, machine settings, and production sequences
Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) press brake machines for precise operations, ensuring optimal performance and quality standards
Conduct routine inspections of finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy
Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols involving forklifts, cranes, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment
Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting to maximize machine uptime and productivity
Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring parts meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications and customer requirements
Requirements
Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for precise fabrication
Skilled in the use of hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection
Knowledge of sheet metal properties and fabrication processes including tooling selection and setup
Experience with forklift operation and crane safety procedures is a plus
Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, angles, and tolerances during setup and inspection
Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
