General solutions against aerosols
Patients can only wear their mouth and nose protection in the waiting room, but not during their dental treatment. Measures such as antiseptic mouth rinsing, respiratory helmets or air conditioning systems are therefore currently used primarily to protect against aerosols in dental practices. However, these interfear with the work and only protect to a limited extent.

Infection risk indoors:
The longer and the more people are in a room, the more contagious aerosols can concentrate. After spending one hour in a small space, the risk of infection increases very strongly. Therefore suck off aerosols before they can spread in the room.

Again, this year TBH supported a help organization “Assistance Service for People in Need Pforzheim“. Two trucks transported parcels with donated 3,500 Christmas presents to children in Bosnia and Serbia, and 1,800 food parcels to families in need.
The joy was particularly great, because due to the current situation only very few aid organizations still actively support locally and the situation is getting more and more precarious. It is wonderful to give some light and hope to these people, especially on Christmas.

We emit 50 particles per second while breathing. That makes 3,000 particles per minute and 180,000 particles after one hour.
While speaking, we emit 2,600 particles per second. That makes 156,000 particles per minute and 9,360,000 particles after one hour.
-> If these particles are contaminated with viruses and linger in the room, there will be a risk of infection.

In dentistry, however, this is not possible - 60 to 80 cm from the patient are common.
The employees’ health protection is therefore not sufficient, air filtration is required.
