𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐤𝐲𝐝𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭! ✈️

Our VECTA primary flight control actuator suite flew and completed maneuvers aboard Northrop Grumman’s YFQ-48A Talon Blue during its first flight on 3 October in Mojave, California.

This is the first application of Skydweller technology to a jet aircraft.

VECTA provides compact, high-torque, dual-redundant electromechanical actuation for safety-critical flight controls, with applications across advanced aircraft, including Collaborative Combat Aircraft, business jets and autonomous platforms.

Congratulations to Northrop Grumman and the Talon Blue team, and a huge thank you to the Skydweller employees whose work helped make this milestone possible.

Thank you to the Oklahoma Aerospace Institute for Research and Education (OAIRE) for hosting an outstanding inaugural Dronies Awards during Aerospace Week.

We’re honored that Skydweller Aero was recognized for Best UAS Innovation and grateful to be included alongside such a strong community of students, researchers, and industry leaders driving the future of aerospace.

Events like this highlight exactly what makes Oklahoma’s aerospace ecosystem so special—the collaboration across education, industry, and innovation to advance real capability in the skies.

We were proud to host the Dronies Awards during Aerospace Weekand what a blast it was! From high school innovators to collegiate teams and seasoned professionals, each division brought serious talent, creativity, and passion to the sky.

This event wasn’t just a competition, it was a powerful showcase of how Oklahoma is leading the way in drone technology and innovation. The future of aerospace is here, and it’s being built right in our backyard.
