Who said safety couldn't be fun? Recently, employees and their families gathered at our Radnor headquarters for , an annual event that celebrates the importance of safety both at work and at home through hands-on activities and demonstrations. We were particularly grateful to have a visit from the Radnor Twp Police Department, Radnor Fire Company, and Philadelphia Union legend Sebastien LeToux to join in the festivities.

It’s been a fun summer of service and sportsmanship for our teams across the U.S.. As we inch closer to fall, we’re looking back on some of the things our teams have accomplished this summer.

- Our Houston, TX, team recently participated in a school supplies drive benefiting Cloverleaf Elementary School students in Pre-K through 5th grade.
- Employees in Tulsa, OK, recently volunteered with Iron Gate Tulsa, a food pantry that features a mini-store. Arkema employees sorted and stocked pantry items and set up the storefront in preparation for shoppers.
- Our Calumet City, IL, team participated in a fun and unique training session focused on the safe operation of forklifts. The session included a competition featuring courses designed to test precision, control, reverse maneuvers, and advanced stacking skills, with a trophy awarded to the winner!

Sustainability isn't always about producing better materials. Sometimes, it's about taking action to improve the environment around you.

In July, more than 40 volunteers from Arkema's Mexico Coatzacoalcos plant and their family members joined a community beach cleanup. Together, they collected 1.5 tons of waste along more than 1/2 mile (1km) of shoreline, helping preserve an important natural space for the community. This is one of many efforts to help make a positive impact in Coatzacoalcos.

En julio, más de 40 voluntarios de nuestra Planta Coatzacoalcos en México, acompañados por sus familias, se unieron para llevar a cabo una jornada de limpieza de playa. Gracias a su compromiso y trabajo en equipo, lograron recolectar 1.5 toneladas de residuos a lo largo de 1 kilómetro de playa, ayudando a preservar este valioso ecosistema para la comunidad.

Esta iniciativa es solo uno de los muchos esfuerzos que reflejan nuestro compromiso con el cuidado del medio ambiente de las comunidades donde operamos.

Based in Beaumont, TX, the Southeast Texas Food Bank, a regional leader in providing access to food, partners with more than 130 local agencies to help distribute nearly 10 million meals each year. Arkema was happy to support recent volunteer work with the Food Bank.

Joining us at this event were two Lamar Institute of Technology (LIT) professors participating in a two-week externship at our site. During that time, they gained firsthand exposure to industry operations and workplace expectations, helping them identify opportunities to better prepare their students for successful careers in the industry. Their participation in the food bank volunteer event provided an additional opportunity to engage with our team and experience our culture of community involvement and service.

Students from the University of São Paulo, considered one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America, have recently been getting a firsthand look at our work in Brazil.

In June, Fabio de la Torre Michalani, plant manager of our Araçariguama site, appeared as a guest lecturer at USP. The following day, students had a chance to visit our Araçariguama plant, which included a tour to the production area and our workshop in the lab.

With a focus on education, Arkema is sharing what it produces and helping lift local communities around the globe. We are honored to welcome so many potential engineers, scientists, and leaders to learn more about how we work. Thank you for visiting!

The Alsip Fire Department is another example of local first reponders who do a great job preparing for and responding to emergencies. They do so much for the community and for us.

That's why our Alsip, IL, site recently donated money so the Alsip Fire Department’s could buy a new emergency-response drone. Drones are hugely helpful with fire responses, hazardous-material incidents, and other emergencies. This donation builds on a longstanding partnership focused on preparedness, safety, and collaboration.

In addition to supporting emergency-response technology, Arkema and the Alsip Fire Department work together throughout the year on training and emergency drills, helping ensure responders are familiar with our site and ready when it matters most.

School may be out, but our sites across the U.S. are focused on the next year. Here's some ways our plants are working together to give back for future generations:

Alsip, IL: The site strengthened its commitment to education by establishing the inaugural Arkema Steven Barnes Scholarship, a $2,000 award presented through the Illinois Chemical Education Foundation (ICEF). Named in honor of longtime employee Steven Barnes and his 40 years of dedicated service, the scholarship will support students pursuing higher education in the chemical sciences for years to come.

St. Charles, LA: Employees once again partnered with the St James Parish Sheriffs Office for its annual Back-to-School Giveaway, helping more than 450 local students start the school year prepared and confident with essential school supplies and support. In addition, our teams were proud to partner with STEM Global, St. James Public Schools, and Mosaic to support this year's STEM Fest, helping inspire students to explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

We’re proud of Arkema teams across the country for investing in education, supporting their communities, and helping strengthen local public safety.

So much to celebrate in so little time!

Earlier this month, Arkema’s Chatham team celebrated the 30th anniversary of the plant. The milestone was marked by two days of connection and reflection, with colleagues past and present coming together to recognize the people and partnerships behind this success - joined by Chris Glover, SVP of the North American Manufacturing Group, for the occasion. The party coincided with a summer long celebration of Arkema's 20th anniversary.

For three decades, the Chatham team has demonstrated a strong commitment to teamwork, performance, and continuous progress. In addition, the site surpassed over eight years without a recordable injury this month.

We thank everyone who has contributed to this journey and helped shape what Chatham is today. We look forward to building on this momentum in the years ahead.
