This Particular C-45H
was originally built in 1941 as an AT-11 serial number 41-27432 and served with the Army Air
corps then Remanufactured By Beechcraft in 1950 As a 1952 C-45H Serial number 52-10897 and
sent Back to the Airforce as AF-827 to The 118th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron (later the 118th
Tactical Fighter Squadron) of the Connecticut Air National Guard utilized the Beechcraft C-45H
Expeditor as a utility transport and hack aircraft during the post-WWII era. This, aircraft was
associated with the 101st Fighter Interceptor Group Following WWII, the unit was re-designated
as the 118th Fighter Squadron on May 24, 1946, returning to Connecticut. The C-45H: A specific
Beechcraft C-45H (tail number 52-10897) was documented as being operated by the 118th
Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, later designated the 118th Tactical Fighter Squadron. Role: The
C-45 was used by the unit for administrative duties, transport, and as a "hack" (liaison aircraft)
