Sticky air holds heat, so your system has to pull moisture and cool the air—meaning longer cycles and higher bills.

Keep it from burning out by:
1. Swapping the filter to keep airflow strong.
2. Leave the thermostat fan on AUTO, not ON, so coils can drain water.

❓ Is my older R-22 A/C still legal to service?

𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿: YES—but it’s getting pricey.

Since no new R-22 has been made or imported since January 1, 2020. Techs can only use reclaimed or stockpiled refrigerant.
