Shovel materials to and from construction areas including asphalt & dirt.
Performs routine daily maintenance/cleaning on all trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.

Clean and prepare construction sites by handling materials and storing them properly.

Heavy Equipment Operators

Location: West Finley, PA

Preston Contractors is looking for heavy equipment operators with strengths in running a GPS Dozer, and Production Excavators. This position will require strong heavy equipment skills, experience with grading/earthmoving, and proficiency with GPS machine control systems (like Trimble/Topcon) for precise work, plus site safety knowledge. Applicant must have proven experience in operating dozers, understanding site plans, attention to detail, and communication for accurate, efficient project completion in construction, mining, or land development.

Responsibilities:

Operates equipment including excavator, dozer, backhoe and other heavy equipment.
Performs routine daily maintenance on all trucks, trailers and heavy equipment, including fueling, servicing and minor mechanical repairs.
Prepares daily reports of equipment hours, inventory and fuel used. Communicate with Mechanics for truck and equipment repair.
Coordinate with crew members in response to hand and/or audio signals.

Heavy Equipment Operator Requirements:

MSHA Surface Training (5000-23) already completed

We are currently looking to fill a Land Surveyor position in the Northern WV, Southwestern PA region.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Stakeout support at survey construction sites.
Analyze data using mapping and construction plans.
Perform manual labor related to surveying needs, such as cutting brush for lines, carrying stakes, and/or pins and right of way markers delineate features of all phase's construction project.
Independently operate a GPS rover, base station, and/or Robotic Total Station to collect high-precision data on topography, boundaries, and existing features.
Maintain survey equipment (Survey grade GPS, robotic stations, Trimble equipment).
Gather and maintain as-built information.
Perform monthly drone flights for quantities.
Function as part of a survey team, willing to follow detailed instructions.
MSHA/OSHA Training preferred.
Physical and Drug screening will be required.

Qualifications:

Applicants need a FAA Part 107 license to fly the drone or obtain within 3 months of employment.
Self-motivated. Able to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
1-2 years with GPS rovers (RTK), Robotic Total Stations and data collectors.
Proficiency with data processing software (AutoCAD; Civil 3D, MicroStation.

Preston Contractors, Inc., an established growing company in the Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Safety Professional to join our team. This is an experienced level position, which performs EHS support of projects which are predominantly in the heavy highway construction, earth moving, and natural resources support industries. This position aids in ensuring compliance with applicable project plans, specifications, and regulations. You must be comfortable with navigating and understanding project specifications and blueprints/drawings.
The Safety Professional is responsible for day-to-day oversight of jobsite safety implementation including, but not limited to:
• Safety education/training,

• Site-specific safety goals and objectives,
