🚨First Responder Wellness Week🚨
They are the calm in chaos. The steady voice in the middle of fear. The ones who run toward what others run from.
But when the sirens fade and the shift ends…what stays with them?
The long hours. The difficult calls. The moments they can’t unsee.
First responders give so much of themselves to protect and serve others—but their own well-being is often pushed aside.
In Johnston County, we have so many amazing first responders, including Captain Brian Council and his fellow firefighters of the Cleveland Fire Department, thank you guys for all you do!
As this week comes to an end, I want to remind everyone that we can make a difference in their lives and support them!
Here’s a few ways you can stand behind those who sacrifice so much for us:✔️ Checking in—not just checking on them✔️ Making mental health support accessible and encouraged✔️ Building a culture where strength includes speaking up✔️ Recognizing that wellness is essential, not optional
Because it’s not just about the badge, the uniform, or the title—it’s about the person wearing it.
To all first responders and the families who support them every day— you are appreciated, you are supported, and you are not alone.🤍
