Omega Architectural Products, Inc.

Omega Architectural Products, Inc. Omega Architectural makes cool stuff through CNC, 3-D prototyping and fabrication of non-metallic materials such as acrylic and solid-surface.

Omega was established in 1994 as the R.D. Wing Company with a primary emphasis on Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics and Quality Systems. It was during the early nineties that automated computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment was beginning to be used by many companies in the plastics and wood industries. Omega realized the potential in this new machinery for speeding up the process of making m

olds, models, and parts for the aerospace and transportation industries. As these industries declined in late 2001, Omega was forced to look at other market segments and evolved more in the architectural and design marketplace, emerging as one of the top solid surface fabricators in the country. However, Omega has also continued to maintain a robust business in the OEM markets, making products and pieces on a nation-wide level that most people see or use everyday in their lives. Now, with more than 20 years in the business, Omega Architectural Products, is a recognized leader in CNC production and architectural fabrication at a national level due to high quality work and competitive solutions.

All we can say is "Wow." Omega worked on the Servery portions of this amazing project - fabricating over 500 sheets of Krion by Porcelanosa into walls, ceilings, cabinet facing, door jambs and custom sinks. It took almost one year to do and despite how relatively easy it seems to the untrained, was an extremely complex project. Very proud of the hard work our team put in and to be a part of a vanguard in architecture for years to come.

A little team-work here this afternoon as Brandon & Amee are putting together an estimate to do the fins shown here in solid surface. Wish you could see the actual design - the fins are actually wavy - to mimic the water from the nearby San Francisco Bay!

What has our week been like? Well, we are making a "game table" for a local restaurant, complete with solid surface game pieces, a backlit panel for Braganza Tea, and on our 5-axis, we're making a custom acrylic wine rack. Not bad at all...

Hi all! Just wanted to give you an update on Salt. We had some "after holidays" donations trickle in and I will be presenting Seattle Children's Hospital with $1,140 tomorrow. In addition to the amazing contribution from Willis of another $1,000+, this year, our first year doing this, we raised over $2,000 for Seattle Children's Hospital! Thank you to all who purchased Salt. We still have a few ornaments left over, so if you'd like to still get one, please let me know!

Latest rendering of a new pedestrian bridge slated for construction in November of this year right down the road from us in Bellevue. We've been working with the design teams, the solid surface company, Porcelanosa, and the General Contractor on this project as it's been evolving. Can't wait to see this one until the end!

We met with this design firm last year when RD Wing was referred to them as a cutting edge company to help them with their project by Willis. We fabricated the white Corian panels that hold the artisan glass and lighting and also provided installation support in Boston. At the end of it all, the Digital Donor Wall was awarded the Nightingal Gold Medal this past fall. The Nightingale Awards are given annually to companies whose product design and innovation are shown to improve quality of care and contribute to patient healing. They are judged by a panel of nine architects, facility planners and interior designers, and sponsored by Healthcare Design magazine and Contract magazine in partnership with the Center for Health Design. I'm super proud of the guys who work for us and the work we do here at RD Wing.

This video tells the story of the creation of Amri Studio's 2015 Nightingale Gold Award-winning Digital Donor Recognition Wall for Boston Children's Hospital...
