We had a blast at the EastKingCo Rock club swap and sell picnic. A few photos from event, ee should have taken more.

Our Garnet Field trip is cancelled - I didn't realize they had closed and gated the access road due to damage over the winter. Not to be opened till reconstruction is finished which is scheduled in 2028. If anyone else wants to lead another field trip to a different location for other fun stuff let us know. I am sad that we can't access the area, this is one of my favorite places to go in Washington to cool off and collect fun garnets.

Rock Club Picnic is on
If you would like to join us on our Rock club potluck picnic it will be fun and we are bringing some fun Rocks & things to sell/ swap as well as some food to share with all. Picnic is Saturday 7/25 from 4pm- 8pm
Location: Farrel-McWhirter Park, Hutcheson Picnic shelter (in the SE corner of the park.)

Friends and Family are welcome to join in. Please RSVP so we can get a count for food.
The club will provide hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are not permitted in the park.
We'll have some kids activities as well as a swap and sell. If you are bringing rocks to swap/sell, consider bringing a folding table to set up on.

This unique park is fun for the whole family! Features include a children's animal farm, horse arena with trailer parking, covered picnic shelters with electricity and running water, and multi-use trails that connect to the Puget Power/City of Redmond Trail. I hope you all had a blast at the EastKingCo Rock & Gem show - I know we did. If you need another rock fix - two upcoming rock shows are in May. SAVE the Date!!

Roads are rough and I-90 & I-18 closed up by snoqualmie due to the snow. So Earthlight Rocks & Gems in Snoqualmie is closed today. So if you have a raffle prize to pick uo, don't come today!! Sorry hopefully we will be back tomorrow.
