I got my new mower stuck this week. When this happens on a zero turn mower you have to put the wheels in “free wheel” mode. Niche content: S**g mower, “tuff torque” version, has the lever to do this in a super weird and hard to find place.

The farm is hanging in there, but September will be less abundant than usual after the rainiest August we have ever seen...

The farm is hanging in there, but September will be less abundant than usual after the rainiest August we have ever seen in our 20 years of growing. “Rainfall M” in the picture is rainfall we have recorded so far this month. Thankful for sump pumps!

Raining outside so we are handling onions. When the necks fall, we trim the leaves in the field, stack in crates, then bring inside the barn to cure with fans. Once they are dry they go through the AZS vegetable machine. It’s like a tiny car wash for produce, but we don’t run the water with onions. The brushes and rollers take skin and dirt off. Then we trim the dry necks off, and sort and weigh them. Over 600 lbs today.
