Hello STEM Community!

As our STEM program continues to grow across East Tennessee, we are still looking for a volunteer to help manage and keep our social media pages updated. This page is volunteer-run, and we would love to find someone passionate about STEM, Scouting, and sharing the amazing things happening throughout our programs.

We are incredibly excited to see STEM in Scouting continue to expand and serve youth ages 5–21 through hands-on activities, camps, events, outreach programs, and real-world STEM experiences. From elementary-age explorers to college-aged career discovery opportunities, our goal is to help youth discover that there is more than one way to science a subject.

If you are interested in helping with social media, communications, photography, content creation, or simply becoming more involved in the program, we would love to hear from you!

STEMology Day Camp – July 14–18!

Hosted in partnership with the Tickle College of Engineering, this 5-day experience will take place on the University of Tennessee campus at the Zeanah Engineering Complex

Each day, rising 3rd–6th graders will dive into hands-on STEM labs and experiments, exploring a different scientific theme each day to discover that “There is More Than One Way to Science a Subject!”

Campers will:
Explore real-world STEM topics
Create, experiment, and problem-solve
Show off their work at our Friday Poster Presentations (families invited at 2 PM!)

🌟 Calling All Volunteers! 🌟

STEM Scouts is hosting a Summer Day Camp for youth in rising grades 3–6 and we need awesome volunteers to help make the magic happen! 🧪🌞

WHEN: July 14–18, 9 AM to 3:00 PM
WHERE: Tickle College of Engineering

This is going to be a fun-filled week packed with games, experiments, and hands-on STEM activities—and you don’t need any experience to volunteer. Just bring your energy, curiosity, and a love for working with kids!

👥 We’re aiming for one volunteer per group of five campers
🎓 College students—this is a fantastic way to earn volunteer hours
📝 All volunteers will need to complete a BSA adult application and undergo a background check

Whether you can come for a full day or just a few hours, we’d love to have you. It takes a village—and we’d be thrilled to have you in ours!
