We are proud to be a part of a great team on a fantastic project!

This week, the team at LGA participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Alcoa Intermediate School renovation in Alcoa, TN. It was such an honor and a thrill to be included in this momentous occasion!

The renovation, a vision that started 4 years ago, will add 14 new, much-needed classrooms and a cafeteria to the intermediate school. From an article covering the ceremony in The Daily Times, “Alcoa Board of Education Chairwoman Julie Rochelle…recognized the work of (Director Becky) Stone, former Director Brian Bell, the Lewis Group Architects and Barry Brooke of Lawler Wood LLC for shepherding the project to this point. ‘Blount Excavating and Joseph Construction will provide a beautiful building for the students,’ she said.”

Freightliner of Knoxville, now Premier Truck Group is our look back today. This is a Design-Build project that includes two buildings with 125,000 SF on a 25-acre campus. The 100,000 SF building contains truck sales and service facilities, body shop and parts warehouse. The 25,000 SF building houses administration and sales offices. The service building is a Butler pre-engineered building and the office building has a Butler VSR standing seam roof.

We are looking back today at Dura-Line. We have completed several Design-Build projects for them over the years. One of these projects consisted of interior renovations to outdated office space, including adding additional space to the front entry with new fascia, research and development laboratory, a warehouse, and shipping and receiving driveway area. Another project consisted of constructing a separate building with offices, showers, a driver lounge, and storage shed.

Joseph worked with Cope Architects to build-out the interior of this diagnostic lab on the first floor of a two-story medical office building. Facilities included lab area and admin areas. Construction was scheduled and planned to provide minimal disruption to the cancer center upstairs.
