We are sad to announce that our VP of sales, and my dad, Tom LeClair, passed away on July 13, 2020. He will be deeply missed.

We are saddened to announce the passing of our VP of Sales and second generation family member Thomas LeClair. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Our plastic extrusion facility in Minden Nevada has created these amazing plastic straps for face masks. They are great quality, soft, latex-free and can be used on almost any type of face mask or goggle. For a limited time, our Minden Nevada is donating straps to people in the community making their own masks to help protect against the Coronavirus.

VIP Plastics and Rubber wanted to do something for people in our community. VIP was able to research and produce elastic strap that can be used to make masks, and they want to donate it to anyone in the community who is making masks to donate to essentials businesses, for their own personal use or to give (not to sell) to others.

Due to guidelines, VIP cannot have outsiders come into the building, but George Phillips Jr. would be happy to have a curb side pick-up by appointment. The best number to call is 775-782-2510 ext.: 505.

Vip manufactures critical parts for the medical, agriculture, aerospace, transportation, energy and defense industries, and is therefore classified by the US Department of Homeland Security as a critical manufacturing entity under the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) guidelines. As a result, our facilities will remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic until further notice.

The Department of Homeland Security is designated as the Sector-Specific Agency for the Critical Manufacturing Sector.
