Please join us tomorrow, Thursday June 11th at 6PM PT, for a panel discussion and team presentations from the new graduate course at Scripps Institution of Oceanography: H4Oceans

Learn about five innovative projects tackling complex problems critical to our oceans. Student teams have spent the quarter conducting market research and customer interviews to inform the development of novel solutions and deployment plans based on lean startup methodologies. The final presentations will demonstrate the proposed solutions in addition to recapping the student teams’ journeys over the course of the quarter.

Now accepting applications for the H4Oceans course that will be offered this Spring on Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 PM at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

Application deadline is February 12th.

You can apply as a team or as an individual, and we welcome project ideas from groups that would like to pursue a problem not listed on the website. Once teams are finalized, you will be introduced to your sponsor and additional team mentors in advance of the course start date.

In addition to weekly student presentations and lectures on the lean methodology framework for advancing your team's solution, a number of technical lectures on ocean topics will be given by subject matter experts. Final presentations will be given at an evening event open to the public which will include sponsors and a panel discussion on innovating in the ocean space.

Join us today to learn about the upcoming Hacking for the Environment: Oceans Spring 2020 course over some food and drinks. H4Oceans will be hosting the upcoming TGIF, Scripps weekly social event, and welcome students interested in the course to attend. Please remember to bring your government ID, need to be 21 to attend.
