Wrapping up the year with another major milestone 🚀
In June, we successfully static fired our first in‑house manufactured, regeneratively cooled engine Moonshine, marking our 6th rocket static fire since February 2026. Moonshine achieved 13 seconds of stable combustion before an intentional abort, nearly matching our flight duration burn target.
A 13 second hot fire may look simple on camera, but every second represents hours of preparation and iteration. Every engine in this test campaign is fully designed and manufactured by our team, then validated through water flow characterization, cold flow testing, systems leak checks, and a readiness review before a static fire. Test operations bring complexity in electrical hardware integration, and Daqstra software has been essential to how we manage it. During water‑flows, it monitor data traces and visualize decay rates so we can qualify the engine. During static fires, it orchestrates stand hardware, automates sequencing, and helps us remotely manage issues in real time.
Proud of the work behind this milestone. More to come this summer.
