Putting Firefly through its paces at sea.

This week, Firefly practiced shipboard takeoff and landing sequences off the coast of Santa Barbara. How’s that for some Friday fun?

The flights come just ahead of packing up and heading to Portugal for REPMUS, where Firefly will take on several different maritime mission sets alongside NATO and allied partners.

As we continue advancing Firefly for maritime operations, we’re working toward precision takeoff and landing within a 4m x 4m area and operations up to Sea State 3 — expanding the range of vessels and conditions where Firefly can go to work.
