💥 HYBRID INSULATION SYSTEMS: DONE RIGHT.

Not every hybrid insulation system is built the same.

One of the biggest misconceptions we see is that you can spray a little foam and simply fill the rest of the cavity with fiberglass or mineral wool. Building science says otherwise.

For a hybrid system to perform as intended, the closed-cell spray foam must be thick enough to control the dew point. In a typical 2×6 wall assembly, we recommend 2” of closed-cell spray foam before adding batt insulation.

Once that foundation is in place, fiberglass or mineral wool batts provide:
