It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our own.

Will Denton IV was a valued member of Rocky Mountain Joinery and our JST Detroit team in Michigan. He worked with us for the past three years and he had a passion for the timber frame trade, taking true pride in his craft and in promoting the trade to others through his work and example.

Will leaves behind a wife and three young children. His loss is deeply felt by his family, his coworkers, friends, and everyone who worked alongside him.

To support his family during this incredibly difficult time, a GoFundMe has been created to help with immediate and ongoing needs. Any contribution, share, or kind word is deeply appreciated.

This “Timber Connections” event will bring together leading voices in architecture, engineering, and timber technology to share groundbreaking work and visions for a more sustainable world.

The event features remarks by Will Denton of Rocky Mountain Joinery Center on their experience with this massive project, as well as Lillian Rodriguez from SmithGroup, Traci Brower & Nate Gabel from Clark Construction Company, and Sandra Lupien with Mass Timber at MSU.
