At Stella Maris, our Sales & Estimating Department is often the first point of contact, working closely with customers to understand their needs and develop comprehensive solutions that lay the foundation for a successful project. They serve as the bridge between our customers' vision and the engineering solutions that bring it to life. Comprised of three dedicated professionals with a combined 31 years of experience, the team is committed to delivering accurate, comprehensive proposals that set every project up for success.

Working closely with our Engineering and Quality teams, they prepare detailed bid packages that align with customer requirements, industry standards, and project specifications. Their thorough approach helps ensure customers receive accurate, transparent quotations, allowing them to confidently plan and budget while minimizing the risk of unexpected change orders.

The department has provided support for a wide range of projects, such as Subsea Chemical Injection Skids, Subsea Production HPU Skids, Topside HPU Skids, TUTA Packages, Containerized PEM Hydrogen Production Units, Air Compressor Skid Packages, Ammonia Injection Skid Packages, DPR Control Systems, BOP Closing Units, Choke and Kill Control Systems, Tote Storage and Fluid Containment Skids, and Pump/Motor Packages.

Their technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction help lay the foundation for every successful project, making the Sales & Estimating Department an essential part of the Stella Maris team.

Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone and a bittersweet farewell as Donna Comeaux marks 20 years with Stella Maris before beginning a well-earned retirement.

Donna joined Stella Maris on August 9, 2006, as a temporary solution for reception, HR, financial administration, and the many other roles Jenny handled while she was out on maternity leave. You might say; a favor. Over the ensuing two decades, Donna continued to grace us with this favor and has been a major contributor to growing the company from a small office with just a handful of employees into the thriving organization it is today. Along the way she assumed the title Office Manager, accurately defining the role she played from the beginning. Donna is an essential part of our leadership team and a familiar, welcoming face to employees, customers, and visitors alike that will be sorely missed.

Throughout her career, Donna helped create many of the traditions that make Stella Maris feel like family. From organizing milestone anniversary celebrations and annual Christmas parties to greeting everyone with a smile as they walked through the door, she took great pride in bringing people together. If you know Donna, you probably heard her say, "I love my job!"—and she truly meant it.

When asked what she enjoyed most about Stella Maris, her answer was simple: the people. She speaks of the respect, kindness, and support she received from both management and her coworkers, and she is especially grateful to Butch and Paul for the generosity and encouragement they showed throughout her career.

Of course, no look back would be complete without one of Donna's favorite memories, the day an unexpected Cajun voice came over the intercom calling, "Possum... come 'tuda' cage!" It's a moment that still brings a smile and perfectly captures the unique personality that has always made Stella Maris feel like home.

As Donna begins this exciting new chapter, she looks forward to spending more time with her precious family, traveling, working in her yard, taking long walks, riding her bicycle, and enjoying tennis, pickleball, and Mah Jong with family and friends. Her advice to those just beginning their journey at Stella Maris is timeless: Be honest, do what's right even when no one is watching, and treat every mistake as an opportunity to learn and grow.

Donna, thank you for your 20 years of dedication, friendship, and unwavering commitment to Stella Maris. Your warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit have left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to work with you.

Congratulations on your retirement, you will always be a cherished part of the Stella Maris family, and we wish you nothing but happiness in the years ahead.

Today, we are proud to celebrate an incredible milestone as Jenny Comeaux marks 21 years with Stella Maris!

Joining the company on July 21, 2005, just three weeks after Stella Maris opened its doors, Jenny has had a front-row seat to the company's remarkable journey. As one of the organization’s earliest team members, she has supported the business from its early days, when it served a small customer base and managed modest projects, through its continued expansion into the organization it is today. Through it all, one thing has remained constant, the commitment to the original vision that continues to guide Stella Maris.

Throughout her career, Jenny has made lasting contributions to the company’s financial operations and growth. She implemented and launched Stella Maris' financial accounting processes from the ground up, developed financial dashboards for historical and future reporting, and has continually adapted systems to support the company's growth. While she's proud of those accomplishments, she's quick to recognize the incredible team she's had the opportunity to work alongside over the years.

When asked about one of her favorite memories, Jenny reflected on witnessing the sacrifices and leaps of faith the owners made to launch Stella Maris. She also remembers the excitement surrounding one of the company's earliest milestones, the arrival of its first payment, an $860 check in August 2005 following a PLC troubleshooting job. Moments like these serve as reminders of just how far the company has come.

For Jenny, the greatest part of working at Stella Maris is the culture. She values the genuine respect shared among teammates and believes the number of long-tenured employees speaks volumes about the kind of company Stella Maris has become. Along the way, she's embraced a simple but powerful philosophy: take the initiative, bring positive energy, and never underestimate the value of clear communication.

Outside the office, Jenny enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, and extended family. Whether she's outdoors, behind the camera, playing tennis, running, or tending to her zinnias, she brings the same passion and enthusiasm to life that she does to her work.

Looking back on her 21-year journey, Jenny describes it in three words: Gratifying, Growth, and Inspiring.

Behind every successful Stella Maris project is a team of skilled professionals turning concepts into reality. Our Drafting Department, comprised of six talented team members with a combined 92 years of experience, plays a critical role in transforming complex engineering requirements into detailed designs ready for manufacturing and installation.

From developing sophisticated 3D models and fabrication drawings to creating P&IDs and other critical project documentation, their expertise helps ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout every phase of a project.

Currently, the team is supporting a wide range of innovative solutions, including Subsea Chemical Injection Skids, Subsea Production HPU Skids, Topside HPU Skids, TUTA Packages, Containerized PEM Hydrogen Electrolyser Units, Air Compressor Skid Packages, Fleet Ammonia Injection Skid Packages for Power Generation, and Tote Storage and Fluid Containment Skids.

Their dedication, technical knowledge, and attention to detail help drive the quality and performance that Stella Maris is known for, making them an essential part of our continued success.

Eighteen years ago, Seth Mooney began his journey with Stella Maris, and today we’re proud to celebrate the impact he has made along the way.

Seth joined Stella Maris on June 2, 2008, as a Project Coordinator and quickly advanced into a Project Manager role before becoming our Manager of Projects in 2011. Over the past 18 years, he has played an instrumental role in the growth and success of our company, helping to expand our project portfolio, strengthening client relationships, and building the talented team that we have today.

When reflecting on his time at Stella Maris, one memory stands out “The move from our leased space on Annonce Street to our current facility on Pont des Mouton.” Being part of that transition represented a significant chapter in the company's history and growth. Of course, he also fondly remembers the early days sharing a crowded office with Jacob Denison.

While Seth has led countless successful projects throughout his career, what he's most proud of is the growth of Stella Maris itself. Through both challenging times and rewarding moments, he has witnessed firsthand how our team has evolved into the organization it is today.

When Seth was asked what he enjoys most about working at Stella Maris, his answer is simple: “The people”. While he once took pride in his own accomplishments as a young project manager, today he finds the greatest satisfaction in what our team achieves together. His leadership philosophy is equally straightforward: "It's going to be alright." Through every challenge, Seth reminds us that teamwork, perseverance, and a fresh start each day can overcome just about anything.

Outside of work, Seth enjoys spending time with his wife and family and hunting and fishing. Looking back on his 18-year journey, he describes it with three words: Challenging, Fast-Paced, and Rewarding.

Stella Maris engineers braved the rain to participate in the “Pull for the Culture” Sporting Clay Tournament benefiting Ragin’ Cajuns Football at Wilderness Gun Club. It was a great day filled with teamwork, friendly competition, and support for a great cause.
