We are thrilled to unveil another recently completed Dugas Construction Home, located in Sunset, LA. This remarkable home seamlessly showcases the homeowners' distinctive style, setting the stage for countless wonderful memories in their new residence. The expansive 3,100 square foot home features a 24-foot vaulted ceiling in the main living area, adorned with numerous antique hand-hewn beams throughout. Natural light pours into the country living home through large picture windows lining the back portion of the residence. The beautiful staircase, leading to the second-floor bedrooms and loft area, is finished with stunning white oak. A statement 24-foot floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace adds a perfect finishing touch to this one-of-a-kind living area. The home boasts a large kitchen, complete with a fabulous antique door leading into the butler's pantry and storage pantry, featuring numerous custom-built shelves to cater to the homeowners' unique storage needs. The latest addition to our Dugas Construction home is a stunning 40-foot antique beam, skillfully installed in the ceiling 24 feet up. This challenging task required the use of a crane, a lot of muscle, and extensive experience to ensure a flawless outcome. The beauty of a well-executed beam installation is unparalleled. We are so pleased to be able to share the pictures of our newest completed Dugas Construction home. This is a 3 bedroom 2 bath home in Rayne, LA! This home’s interior is so cozy and homey. It features an open floor plan that will be perfect for entertaining complete with cathedral ceilings and wood beam. The master bathroom opens to a large and spacious custom closet with plenty of storage space. Their pantry also includes a beautiful set of antique doors that are just stunning! A large outdoor storage room gives them so much additional storage. Their back patio will definitely be the heart of their home and we foresee them making many memories with their family and friends there!

Our favorite part of custom home building is being able to incorporate personal features throughout the home that the homeowners request. This home has many fun custom features but our favorite is the fireplace mantle. The property had a tree that sadly had to be removed for the project to begin. A piece of that tree was turned into their mantle so it wasn’t completely lost. It makes that space so much more special!
