JP Oil is looking for a Shop Hand in our local machine shop, in the Citronelle, AL area.

This position can be a trained position. Some machine shop experience is a plus. Such as, working with grinders, threaders, cnc and manual machinery.

Must have reliable transportation!! This is a full-time position.

Job Description:

Roustabouts are responsible for a variety of activities in repairing, maintaining or cleaning the equipment, storage tanks, and laying and repairing pipelines. This may include chipping and painting, the physical movement of equipment, mixing of concrete or the greasing, oiling or washing of equipment, pipes and production stands.

You must be able to pass company physical and DOT drug screen.

Position: Shop Mechanic

Location: Breaux Bridge, La

Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintenance and repairs on all natural gas engines, centrifugal and auxiliary pumps, compressors and diesel engines and equipment, generators and overhauls to the work over rigs including general engine overhauls, brake jobs and repairs to the electrical and light systems.

Perform maintenance and repairs such as tune-ups and oil changes, checks tires and brakes, replace spark plugs, and engages in other similar tasks.

Assists mechanic with electrical systems such as replacing batteries, starters, and lights.

Cleans the shop and returns tools to proper location.
Maintains inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.

Updates maintenance and repair logs for vehicles.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of vehicle repair.
Excellent mechanical skills.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to use power and hand tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read service and repair manuals.
Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Related experience preferred.
