I wish this was an April Fools
Instead, this is a 7 year old "lifetime metal" roof.
So many people get sold the idea of a metal roof, and end up with pole barn siding on their roof.
Putting any exposed fastener system on your roof, is just asking for problems. But its way less expensive than standing seam. And so many hack roofers will do this system, throw down some 2x4's over the rotting shingles, and slap some metal over it.
Which sounds great, until you think about the condensation that gets trapped in there. Then add the leaking screw washer, that then start backing out after a couple years and you get this.
Normal people cant afford to buy a new roof these days, let alone having to buy 2.
The amount of roof deck rot under these shingles was enough to scare any mold fearer's to sell the house.
