With the strong storms and power outages across Acadiana last night, today is a good time to give your HVAC system a quick check.

Here are a few things homeowners can do:

• Make sure your thermostat is back on and showing the correct settings.

• If power was just restored, give your AC a few minutes before expecting it to restart. Many systems have a built-in delay to protect the equipment.

• Check your electrical panel if the system isn’t running. If a breaker has tripped, reset it once. If it trips again, don’t keep resetting it, give us a call.
