A 45 minute (or less) valve drill out! That's the result we anticipate from our recent testing of the aluminum variant of our Gatekeeper Cement Retaining Collar (Plug Activated). 💪⚡

When we tested out our new aluminum Gatekeeper CRCPA with our colleagues at ExxonMobil and Baker Hughes, the results were thrilling! The test proved to be a valuable one: by allowing us to see where design adjustments were necessary, we were confident that this variant of our popular tool could achieve drill out times of less than 45 minutes in a field operation!

This could be a HUGE money saver for oil and gas operators! Stay tuned for more news on this exciting development!

When a major oil and gas operator in the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico required a fail-safe mechanism to ensure that trapped pressure can be vented during an operation, we designed and implemented one on the fly.

The results? 51 hours of rig time saved; that's a savings of $1.8 million!

The fail-safe mechanism is now a standard feature on the Gatekeeper CRCPA as a result.

Shell USA's Whale project, a new platform in the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico, isn't just a drilling platform that's helping to grow America's energy corridor in the Gulf of Mexico, it's also designed to cut costs and emissions. 📈 🌍

With the help of the Whale's small-scale design and the deployment of our Sentinel DSFVs, Shell is setting the standard for sustainability in the Gulf, and the cost of each barrel the Whale produces will be the lowest in the region!
