🏢 Preserving a piece of Lafayette history while giving it a new roof!
WadeCo recently completed this commercial roofing project in Lafayette’s Oil Center, and this one came with a little history.
The building’s original asbestos tile roof dated back to 1967. After the existing roof was properly abated, we installed Owens Corning Duration® shingles in Estate Gray for a fresh, updated roofing system.
But one detail was too special to replace — the original antique clay hip and ridge caps. We were able to carefully salvage them and reinstall them on the new roof, preserving some of the building’s original character nearly 60 years later.

Sometimes a new roof is also about preserving what makes an old building special.
