🔧 HVAC Is More Than Just Installing Systems

Many people think an HVAC technician’s job is only about installing equipment.
But that’s just 10% of the work.

The other 90% happens behind the scenes:
• finding and communicating with clients,
• building relationships with suppliers,
• creating invoices and estimates,
• scheduling and planning,
• completing online and in-person training,
• business meetings and on-site visits,
• constant personal and professional growth.

In this field, only three months a year are truly “busy season» when you work without weekends and phone call all the time.
The remaining nine months are when real professionals build their foundation -
investing in their health, their skills, and their business.

Because what you do off-season determines how successful your next season will be.

🕗 Morning hours are the most productive part of the day.
That’s the time to focus on what moves you forward - not what’s easy, but what matters.

HVAC isn’t just a trade.
It’s a discipline, a mindset, and a commitment to constant improvement.

I have different types of clients. Some of them schedule system checkups before winter and again before summer - twice a year. These clients are very forward-thinking. Every time I come, I can see how the system is running, what changes are happening, and what might need repair. Sometimes it’s enough just to replace a small part or add some refrigerant, and the system will keep working smoothly for many years.

Other clients call only when something has already broken—when the system no longer heats or cools. I value and respect these clients too, because they are busy people. Still, I always recommend doing a tune-up. The cost is about the same as your wife’s manicure every three weeks, but it can save you a lot of time and money in the long run. Plus, it helps reduce energy consumption.
