Anchor Man Reflections
If you’re like me, as a father/grandfather you sometimes find yourself in a tug of war in your own mind. You look at the success of your adult children and think I might have had a little something to do with that. Then you feel quality for thinking that way because you know they had to work their backsides off to get where they are, just like you did.
I recently made a quick trip to central Oklahoma from south Louisiana for a family funeral. I had a lot of reflection time behind the windshield.
Family is the easiest thing we have to take for granted. It seems like the people we love the most, are the easiest for us to be mad at. The love of family and friends, In my opinion are what Jesus was trying to teach during his short stay in the physical being. We all make mistakes. And we all need forgiveness and grace. Not a single one of us needs it more than any other. We all fall short of His mark.
My advice, going into this Labor day weekend, Don’t tell them haw much you care, show them…

These Christian kids are confused about right & wrong. How can a kid growing up in a Christian home where the Bible is central be confused about right and wrong? Good Question. Maybe someone assumed that they knew right from wrong. But that’s the wrong assumption to make this day and age.
