Road work goes beyond just fixing infrastructure and our Bascom Norris project is a perfect example of it. And who could say it better than our very own Contract Administrator, Mrs. Amanda Adams.
“I wanted to take a moment to highlight a special example of Anderson Columbia Co., Inc.’s presence not just as a leader in road construction, but as a proud member of the communities we serve.
Our team recently completed work on the Bascom Norris Road project in Lake City, Florida, directly in front of the O2B Kids daycare. While road construction can often mean detours and delays, for the children at O2B, it became a source of excitement, learning, and creativity.
In celebration of Grandparents Day, the kids spent time coloring and cutting out paper excavators featuring our company’s logo, bringing our work into their classroom in a fun and engaging way. It was heartwarming to see how fascinated they were by the construction happening just outside their doors.
Personally, it was a joy to watch my own daughter’s excitement grow each day as I explained the work being done. What can sometimes be seen as an inconvenience became a source of curiosity and inspiration through her eyes.
