Today, members of our Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) network gathered for a Lunch and Learn. This new initiative brings local business representatives together in a relaxed setting to network, share what's happening around town, discuss challenges, and brainstorm solutions.

Today's conversation exceeded expectations, and we're already looking forward to next quarter's meeting.

Last week, APS had the chance to step away from the office and be part of the Women’s Leadership Breakfast with the Lake City-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce. Strong turnout, real conversations, and a room full of driven leaders.

What stood out most was the opportunity to connect with women in leadership roles across our community—listening to their experiences, sharing perspectives, and learning how they manage personal and professional life in their industries. Those conversations stick with you.

Events like this remind us that behind every business, there are people leading the way and pushing things forward.

This month, we had the opportunity to participate in the Career Café hosted by Columbia County Economic Development at Columbia County High School.

We loved meeting such a great group of students and talking with them about their plans after high school. Sharing the many opportunities available in construction and project management and encouraging the next generation to explore their future!

🎪 The Greatest Show on U.S. Highway 90! 🎪
We were honored to attend yesterday’s Columbia County celebration of the North Florida Mega Industrial Park, marking years of progress and partnership in our region’s growth.

It was inspiring to hear and see so many dedicated leaders and partners — including Past and Present Columbia County Commissioners, Jennifer Goff Daniels with Columbia County Economic Development, Weyerhaeuser, Greystone Construction Company, AgroLiquid, Noah Walker, Mayor of Lake City Florida, and Congresswoman Kat Cammack, representing Florida’s 3rd District, to name a few.

This project showcases the strength of collaboration between local government, business, and community — paving the way for new opportunities and continued economic development here in North Florida.

Rebecca represented APS at the 2025 Small Business Symposium: ELEVATE, hosted by the Lake City-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce. We joined a driven group of small-business owners, community leaders, and regional stakeholders—all committed to growth, innovation, and collaboration.
